Lilly_ K it's most likely fabric paint! That won't come off since it's made for fabric😊 but depending on your brand, you'll have to iron it after it dried to completely seal it in

Actually making pockets or other parts of clothing a different pattern than the rest is pretty common in design! It creates an accent on the clothes, something to make it pop. :)
